For several months I’ve owned a pair of JVC HA-S600‘s, and after seeing some of the crap out there, I figured it was time to post a review of these things.

Bass and Sound Quality
These headphones’ bass is quite good: their range is over twice as low as the Dre Beats. But, the sound is still crisp and has a pronounced high-end without compromise. You can get the deep bass lines as well as catch the cymbal splashes in all of their crispness.
The overall sound quality is very decent. I still have yet to find headphones that match it (in the same price range).
Which brings me to my next point.
Price
The price is a great deal. $50. That’s it.
I’ve seen way worse headphones go for $150+. For what you’re getting with these headphones, the value is great.
Comfort
The headphones themselves are actually very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They’re over-the-ear and have very comfortable pads. I’ve worn these for hours and hours at a time while working late into the night or on road trips.
Closed-style
These are closed-style headphones, meaning not much sound leaks through to the environment around you. I was actually surprised how loud I can get it before they leak too badly.
Noise-Cancelling
I have to put up with my little brother playing his video games at very loud volumes almost all day. It can get extremely annoying if I need to focus or get some real work done.
So, I put on my headphones, put on some music, and everything else is drowned out. Since they have the over-the-ear design, almost no sound gets through[1].
Design
Not only are they awesome technically, but their design is quite good as well.
Conclusion
Overall, these are very decent headphones, especially for the price. Of course, you can always get better ones, such as a professional Sennheiser pair, but for now, these headphones are highly recommended.
